Scientific research and training for professionals was provided by 39 physicians for sciences, full professors, 150 PhDs, and associate professors.

In the educational process, the school uses its own potential represented by all university schools and research institutes, and the resources of the city's scientific and medical institutions.

Research activity

The school's research focuses on the latest challenges of theoretical and clinical medicine. Every year, the school organizes at least two international scientific conferences on various medical issues. The Faculty of Medicine has signed several agreements on scientific cooperation, exchange of experiences, and internships for students with leading research and medical institutions in Ukraine, Great Britain, the United States of America, Spain, Italy, Australia, South Africa, Japan, Sweden and other countries. . The school publishes two professional scientific journals included in international scientific databases (International Copernicus Index and Russian Scientific Citation Index).

The school trains medical professionals with a rehabilitation doctor. After a training period, they are all entitled to work in the institutions of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and hold positions in all medical specialties, except for dentistry and hygiene.

The high level of theoretical knowledge and practical training in basic and natural disciplines enables school graduates to successfully combine medical activities and scientific research.

about the college

The creation of the Faculty of Medicine of the Kharkiv National University named after Vasily Nazarovich Krazy happened in conjunction with the founding of the university on January 17, 1805, making the Faculty of Medicine one of the oldest medical higher education institutions in Ukraine and Eastern Europe. The college gave the scientist great scientists, physicians, and practitioners: the therapist DF Lamblya, surgeons PM Shumlyansky, VF Grube, MP Trinkler, the obstetrician IP Lazarevich, the ophthalmologist LL Girshman and the physiologist V.Ya. Danilevsky et al.

The faculty of the University of Karazin was revived in March 1993. Since then, the faculty has undergone an active process of development and improvement, training of thousands of doctors and scientists working in Ukraine and abroad, and providing quality medical higher education to Europe level. The college provides students with the opportunity to obtain a higher medical education within the walls of a classic university, and an essential and necessary component of the academic triad - the Education, Science and Clinical Practice Unit.

Undoubtedly, only the classical university, which has an advanced base for teaching and studying biomedical and natural sciences, can create ideal conditions for shaping and improving clinical and scientific medical thinking for future physicians through the use of the strong scientific and educational potential of other colleges of the Faculty of Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and others. Studying on the walls of the Karazin University provides students with a unique opportunity to obtain a second higher education in economics, management, law, psychology, mathematics, foreign languages, and more.

Today the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Karazin is one of the leading medical higher education institutions in Ukraine for training specialists in the level of education and qualification “Master” in the specialization 222 “Medicine” in the field of knowledge 22 “Health Care” (RD-IV Certificate № 219309 and AV License No. 498462 dated November 25, 2009) with the same glorious history and traditions that are organically intertwined with innovative methods of educational process and integration with modern technologies. More than 3,700 students from 40 countries (Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Europe, etc.) are trained in Ukrainian, Russian (for Russian-speaking foreign students) and English in 11 departments.

All subjects are taught according to the advanced programs recommended by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, and after graduation students receive a state diploma (in Ukrainian and English) and an attachment to the diploma, which is completed according to the requirements of the European Commission Council in Europe and UNESCO / September. The diploma of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Karazin gives graduates the opportunity after passing the clinical practice training in all medical specialties, except for dentistry and the preventive medical condition (Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 621 of 11/21/2005).

The high quality of higher medical education is achieved through a combination of classical university curricula and innovative technologies. Teaching activities at the Faculty of Medicine are conducted by leading experts in their fields, including more than 35 professors and doctors of medical sciences, 170 associate professors and candidates for medical sciences, honorable doctors, science and technology figures in Ukraine and hold national certificates and international awards. The average duration of teaching experience for faculty members in the college exceeds 12 years. All subjects are taught according to the requirements of the Bologna process, and the level of systematic support for the disciplines is 100%. All scientific and educational personnel receive many advanced training courses every year, which helps to maintain the quality of education at the highest level.

The faculty members perform a great deal of clinical and medical work with the active participation of students in the leading medical institutions in Ukraine, namely the clinical rules of the faculty, including the Institute of Microbiology and Immunology named II Mechnikov of the National Academy of Medical Sciences Ukraine, Institute of General Medicine T. Zaitseva and Emergency of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Institute of Public Health for Children and Adolescents of the National Medical Academy of Ukraine, Institute of Neurology, Psychiatry and Psychology of the National Medical Academy Ukraine, Ukrzaliznytsya Central Clinical Hospital, Dorozh I Hospital. Kharkiv “Ukrzaliznytsya”, Kharkiv Regional Infectious Diseases Hospital, Kharkiv City Center Perinatal Center, 6th Grachchenko Academic Institute of Reproductive Medicine, etc. The level of material and technical support for clinical rules meets European standards and is one of the highest in Ukraine, which gives students an opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the latest medical diagnostic equipment in the learning process.

Scientific work is an integral part of college activity. Faculty members have undertaken more than 30 international scientific research and studies. Since the college was revived in 1993, employees have defended 15 PhDs and over 75 PhDs. These theses published more than 150 articles in publications belonging to foreign scientific rules, more than 2000 articles in local professional publications and more than 2000 articles in other publications and obtained more than 200 patents for scientific invention.

The College of Medicine is the organizer of 150 scientific and practical conferences, including 58 international conferences. The College of Medicine has signed several agreements on scientific cooperation, exchange of experiences, and internships for students with leading scientific and medical institutions in Ukraine, Great Britain, the United States of America, Spain, Italy, Australia, South Africa, Japan, Sweden and other countries. The college publishes two scientific journals listed in the list of professional publications of the State Tax Administration of Ukraine and in the foreign scientific databases (Index Copernicus International and RINC).

Scientific students actively participate in the scientific work of the Faculty of Medicine, united in the departments of the scientific departments and the Scientific Society of the Faculty of Medicine, the result is holding 12 scientific-practical conferences with international participation, publishing from more than 150 scientific papers, implementing dozens of procedures, medical, social and preventive activities, and receiving many Certificates and awards for Ukrainian and international events for students and young scientists. Training takes place in modern and comfortable classrooms, with a total area of more than 150,000 square meters. M, located in the heart of Kharkiv - on Freedom Square.

The college has created a set of meticulous and college setups, including over 6,000 shows, 3 working computer classes - over 150 newly connected computers and the college's intranet, and most rooms are equipped with free high-speed internet. The Central Science Library provides students with access to 4 million copies of various publications, including online. If necessary, students are provided with comfortable dormitories at the university, with a total area of more than 51,000 square meters. M.

Students have the opportunity to exercise using the University's advanced sports infrastructure. There are 24 cafes, buffets and canteens on site. The University provides summer comfort for medical school students in their "sport" and recreational camp.
